A beautiful hand finished Verdigris copper pendant light. To create this natural aged effect takes several days to break the raw copper finish down, once the patina has set in we then lacquer the shade and ceiling rose by hand to seal the finish. This is a very unique and beautiful distressed finish and each copper pendant we make is slightly different. They each age slightly differently and this adds to the character of the finished lighting design. We have these pendants on display in our Bristol showroom and welcome you to come and see them ahead of buying. This lighting is very popular in barn conversion, rustic country homes and industrial bars and restaurants. It gets great feedback and whenver we take one to a trade show or exhibition it is the finish that everyone comments on. It is very unique and is one of the lights I am most proud of in my collection.
We make this pendant using 1.5mm thick British sourced solid copper so the weight and quality of this shade is second to none. The shade itself is made right here in the UK and the shape and design are unique to us. We supply each pendant set with 1.5 metres of brown twisted fabric cable and a verdigris copper ceiling rose. Each rose is supplied with a metal fixing bracket, earth lug and wago connectors for an easy installation. It comes with a copper metal cord grip, we then use a beautiful E27 polished copper metal lampholder to compliment the ceiling rose detail.
I decided to create my own brand of lighting as I wanted to get back to the old mid century British approach to manufacturing. Not a that will do attitude but products that are built with care and made using the best materials, fittings that will stand the test of time. Having had great success selling genuine vintage lights from the 1940s I wanted to bring a range to market that will also still be working in 60 years time.
